Naughty Mico

In the month of Jan, Mico did 2 naughty things.

Bit through Daddy's TCM medicine powder package but did not eat it.

Tore through Matthew's used diaper and the cotton was all over my room.

The diaper also ended up on my bed.

5th Christmas

Happy 5th Christmas together, Dear Mico. This is our wardrobe. My dear girl has been allowed back into our room ever since Little M moved to his own room.

Poor Mico (few teeth gone)

While Mummy was having Matthew in her tummy, she neglected to brush my teeth. By the way, I hate to brush my teeth too. Tartar started to form.

Mummy spotted some shaky teeth and decided to bring me to the vet for a check. Vet proposed dental scaling to be done with GA and said that I had gingivitis. Fortunately, Gingivitis can be cured. While at the vet, I got a vaccination jab too. I felt so lethargic that whole night.

So I went for my dental scaling on 21 June 2010, Monday. Mummy was quite scared that I would not be able to wake up and did not sleep well the previous night. I also had to fast from 10pm that night. Poor me, no food and drink. I was brought to the vet at about 9.30am and the vet called Mummy at about 2pm to tell her that I was up and well. Mummy came to bring me home at about 4pm. I lost a upper few teeth, about 4. Anyway they were quite hard for Mummy to brush. It costed Mummy about $260, some guilt feelings in Mummy and almost my life. Hey, I risked it to undergo GA. Luckily, I am only 4 years old.

I am officially an old lady without teeth and I have some stitches on my gum. I hope they will come off real soon. I also have some medicine. I think they are antibiotics for a course of 5 days.

Vet suggested a baby toothbrush, dog toothpaste, greenies, raw hide and brush daily. Meaning that I will get chewable treats more often =) I also love toothpaste by the way. Just that I detest brushing.

Mummy also promised to brush my teeth daily so that I would not have to undergo dental scaling or tooth extraction in my entire life again.

Mico's 4th Christmas

A small scare

Mummy made a dough for Matthew to play.

It was a rubbery homemade dough made out of corn flour, water and salt.

Matthew did not want to play with it and left it on the floor.

I was quite curious and went to taste it.

Luckily I did not eat a lot before Mummy spotted me and scolded me.

She ended up being a bit worried as there was a lot of salt in it and she was afraid that I would get salt poisoning again.

Well, I did not vomit so all is well.

Phew. What a relief.

Turns out to be a bad experience.
So scared of grooming now.
Made me so itchy and I scratched till i bled.
Mummy realised her mistake and decided that I should never go for grooming again.
The only good thing is that Mummy can do less housework nowadays since I shed less fur.

3rd Year as part of Tan Family

9 July 2009 is the 3rd year since I was brought into the Tan Family.

Beach Bum & Me

Haven been to the beach for the longest time ever. Missed swimming.
Last Friday, I finally had my swim. Daddy was swimming with Matthew while I swam with Mummy. Usually while swimming, I will go to Daddy to ask him to hold me while I rest. But this time around, Daddy was holding Matthew and I knew that Matthew would not be able to support my weight. So I did not go near Matthew to rest and kept swimming forth and back to the shore. I could see that Matthew, the beach bum was having a good time watching me swim. I guessed it was very amusing to him as he usually swam at the swimming pool.

A pity that Mummy did not bring along the camera.

Me, the naughty dog

I'm such a naughty dog these days. Pooed and peed all over the kitchen while my daddy & mummy was at work. Daddy come home, scolded me and locked me in the toilet till Mummy came home.

Well, you see, I'm simply a negelected gal these days. Hardly go out for walks. Nobody to play with me. My nails get cut less often. I get less baths.

This morning, Mummy brought me out for a walk. Just Mummy and Me.
I was so happy and keep making happy 'whines'. It is simply so nice to spend time alone with Mummy again.

My skin problem is getting better ever since Mummy started to be more diligent. I get a supplement of fish oil, solid gold seameal and a spray of petzlife for my teeth. Hopefully my teeth and gums get better

3rd Christmas with Mico

On human breast milk

ever since Mummy asked in the forum if dogs can drink human breast milk and someone said it is the best next to some other milk, Mummy has been giving me leftovers from Matthew.

So whenever Matthew drinks his milk, I will be there too. =)

I am sad..so sad

I will not be able to see my aunt's dog, Maisy again.

You see, she has been given up for adoption.

She is going to a lovely family who lives in a house. 

No longer have to stay in a HDB flat and feel restricted, neglected.

My Aunt is having her 2nd kid and simply has no time to care for Maisy anymore.

Out of love and for Maisy's benefit, she is given away.

I hope Maisy adapts to her new family soon and I will miss her.

Sob Sob.

I can totally understand cos since Matthew is born, my mummy does not have much time for me either.  We seldom go for walks now.

But my mummy assures me that I will not be given away.

Simply because I am a small dog, toilet trained at home unlike Maisy, a GR that needs space and walks.

Oops my secret has been exposed

I love to sleep in Daddy's and Mummy's wardrobe.

It is a 3 door sliding wardrobe and I love to sleep in the centre portion as it has a lot of clothes lying around. It is so comfortable.

Even though Mummy created a cosy corner in the wardrobe for me, I prefer to sleep on daddy's clothes.

The adults always close the centre portion but they did not realise that I can get in myself without their help until recently.

While I was pushing the sliding door, Daddy saw me in the act. Oops. Caught red-handed.

Subsequently, Daddy started teaching me the trick "cupboard"..

i soon learnt it very fast.

Yummy Yummy

It's been a long time since Mummy gave me milk.

But the milk i drank yesterday tasted different.

As usual, Matthew was fussing and Mummy was in the midst of pumping milk.

She had to pause to get to him and in her urgency, she knocked off the pump, spilling some milk on the floor.

There I was, just right beside the milk and did not dare to go near it for fear of Mummy scolding me.

Once Mummy left, I licked it all up & left no residue at all. Tongue licking good...Yummy

Hair loss

My 20cents wound on the head seems to be healing after mummy diligently applied anti fungal gel on it for the 4 days. However, no more hair on the wound. I wonder if my hair will grow again or that area will be baldless.

I was also given a DIY hair cut by my mummy & uncle last week. Mummy bought a shaver and both of them held me and cut my fur. I was quite scared and kept figeting. Anyway it was not such a bad experience. My fur is not very short and they did not manage to cut my pretty long fur near my neck area for fear of accidental cuts.

Todate, the floor seems to be cleaner and less vacuuming needed.
